Our latest ELEVATE Event in Bristol looked at how we can feel more confident when presenting to an audience, and the skills we can develop to improve our performance.
Our guest speaker, Maureen Casey, looked at physical issues, audience, environment and how to use technology as a tool rather than a crutch.
Maureen returned to professional acting three years ago and now combines acting and coaching people in public performance with being an honorary fellow of the University of Exeter Business School. She is an experienced facilitator, team coach and spent many years as a senior manager in the public sector both as a commissioner and in mental health services.
It was an enjoyable and informative session, and attendees were able to take away some really useful practical tips on how to overcome nerves and improve their presenting performance.
After the speaker guests enjoyed further discussion and networking accompanied by a glass of Prosecco and canapes – a most enjoyable evening indeed!
