The NHS Leadership Recognition Awards celebrate leaders at all levels and across all professions who have ultimately improved people’s health, the public experience of the NHS and who we are truly proud to work alongside.
The Glass Lift were delighted to support the South West Leadership Recognition Awards 2015 held in Bristol on Friday 13th November by sponsoring the award for NHS Inspirational Leader of the Year. This wonderful evening was a great success, excellently hosted by Alan Johnson MP and Christina Quinn, Director of Leadership Development, South West Leadership Academy.
It was fantastic to be part of an event celebrating so many NHS staff members and recognising them for their amazing achievements and commitment to patients, service users and the NHS.
The NHS Inspirational Leader of the Year really embodies the NHS value to inspire others to achieve great things. They place quality at the heart of everything they do; they are innovative and value their partners while actively mentoring the next generation of NHS leaders; they are tireless in changing the system for the benefit of all.
In a true case of gender diversity, we were delighted to see the top place shared by joint winners Joanne Beer, Interim Director of Operations, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals, Peninsula Community Health & Professor Greg Dix, Director of Nursing, Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust. Well done to both of them for being recognised as truly inspirational leaders. Our congratulations also go to the many other inspiring leaders in the NHS including finalists: Sue Balcombe – Director of Nursing and Patient Safety, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Juliet Richardson – Sister, Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust.
Our thanks go to The NHS Leadership Academy South West for a really successful evening and also a big well done to the other award nominees, finalists, winners, attendees and sponsors for making the evening such an interesting and enjoyable event.
